Midwifery
1. Objective of the Training
The HND specialty Midwifery aims to train professionals in occupational health with a mission to accompany pregnant women throughout their pregnancy, from diagnosis until the day of delivery. It also prepares them to lead childbirth preparation sessions, ensure delivery, care for the newborn, perform resuscitation if necessary, and monitor the recovery of the mother. The midwife also provides gynecological care for women (prescription and installation of contraceptives, perineal reduction, and drug IVG).

Specific Skills
- Ensure family planning with women wishing maternity leave;
- Conduct a prenatal consultation;
- Organize and facilitate group meetings in preparation for birth and kinship;
- Ensure an emergency consultation for abdominal pain during the third trimester of pregnancy;
- Manage pregnancy from conception to delivery and postnatal care;
- Diagnose and monitor labor, ensure delivery, and monitor postpartum recovery;
- Diagnose and manage hemorrhage beyond the immediate postpartum period;
- Perform clinical examination of the mother and the newborn;
- Provide contraception, gynecological consultations, and preventive care;
- Carry out neonatal resuscitation of the newborn.
